Oxigen Services provides a helping hand to 2 stoic differently-abled men as they seek to break the Limca book of records for 6000km journey.

Oxigen Services is the proud sponsor of an event being led by 2 brave heart gentlemen, both differently abled, seeking to break the Limca Book of Records of a 6000km car journey in the least possible time. The journey was flagged off on 22th November by Oxigen’s Group President, Mr. Rajpal Singh Duggal. The journey started from St. Stephan’s Methodist Church, Tis Hazari Delhi, by the duo-Eric Paul and Sonu Gupta. Eric is spearheading the event and will be in-charge of the steering wheel.

The journey will encompass cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and back to Delhi. The duo aims to break the earlier record of a 6000km car trip that was accomplished in 8 days.

Oxigen has always associated itself with initiatives and events that support/benefit those that are less privileged. Earlier this year Oxigen had sponsored the International Cricket tournament of the disabled between India and Sri Lanka. Oxigen has a well integrated CSR that gives opportunity to rural youth opportunity to earn, blind individuals are provided support to start their own business and become an Oxigen Retailer, support to Muskaan- an organization that supports differently abled children and more.

With this association Oxigen continues to give fuel to the spirit of people who wants to achieve in life but are restricted by their physical incapacity or lack of proper platform and support.

NAB Story

Dolma, a 21 Year old girl belongs to Leh. Disability- low Vision-90% Vision loss. As a child Dolma and her two sisters suffered from……

However, despite the grave situation, their father and uncle put in their best to give to the children a good education. This was unlike other families in their neighborhood who shied away from bringing their children with disabilities out of the house. With the help and support of her uncle, Dolma and her sisters could come out to Delhi to complete their education. After her schooling from Sarvodhya girls school she did her graduation non collegiate from Miranda House College.

Sahyog NAB Story

Looking for the job opportunity, she joined the NAB Centre for Blind Women & Disability Studies as and enrolled herself for computer course; while she was pursing the course Oxigen launched its web training program for low visions (Oxigen, a company involved in recharging mobiles and DTH to work on recharging of mobile phones etc).

She showed her keenness to learn the business and was the first in the group to grasp it and work effectively. Analyzing her grasping power and performance, she was appointed as an assistant researcher in the research & employment unit. Here she had an opportunity to work on researches in both the private and the government sector. Gradually she grew on to assist in procuring employment for women with vision impairment in the corporate. Along with the assignment she works on the trained web business by Oxigen, recharging mobiles and DTH etc.earing a handsome amount.

In November 2014, Dolma cleared her Bank P.O examination and secured a job in the Indian Overseas Bank as a Single Window Operator at one of their branches in West Delhi. She now wants to reach out to other children and people with disabilities in her area so that they too can avail of the same opportunities as she could.
